Federal Government can declare
war,
coin money,
regulate foreign
interstate commerce,
make peace
provide for the common defense, maintain armed services, and pass immigration and naturalization laws. State governments can provide public education, conduct elections, and create local governments. Both the state and federal governments can collect taxes, make and enforce laws, and establish courts

Congress would amend the U.S. Constitution to resolve controversial differences such as abortion, immigration, and death penalty.. Government cannot favor one side, so to be fair the congress has to amend the constitution. In order for the congress to amend the constitution a bill has to pass both houses of the legislature, by a 2/3 majority each. Once the bill passed both houses it goes on to the states. The time limit for the bill to be approved, congress put a seven year time limit.

I think federalism is a good and the best idea. Under federalism everyone is all states are equal.Consider presidental elections. Congress sets the date for national elections, but the states register voters and run the elections. States count the ballots, but the national government organizes the electoral vote, which really determines who will be president. Although the country needs one central government, the fact is that different areas of the country require different needs. Federalism allows the states in different locations of the country to enact laws that are better suited for the citizens that live there, while still maintaining one central government. It also helps to regulate federal control over the people.

There are 13 states. Each of these states had different idea of what people rights and laws should be. So a group of men decided to write the constitution so it would be a plan that everyone could agree with and follow to. The fact that they had so many different laws in each state meant confusion for people when they traveled. Also some states couldve had really unfair and wrong laws. By making the constitution everybody followed the same rules no matter where they went. They needed to follow these rule because they were written already if they didn't then they would disobey the law.

I think that colonists got their independence and was freed from living under the kings rule shows that regardless of whether or not they could have lived with it, they shouldnt have to. When people are living under the rule of a king, they have no say what so ever and any order that the king gives must be followed. so if the king says for him to give all his money and starve then thats when Stamp Act, Townshead Act, Tea Act, Intolerence Act, and the Proclamation Act along with the battles led to the revolutionary war. The independence was the only option because it was "Do or Die" situation for the colonists. The colonists were tired and no longer wanted to live in misery.

H.w U.S Government

Align CenterWhy do people obey laws?
People obey laws because its part of the constitution and if you don't obey the laws you will enforce to justice.

Do you trust the Government why or why not?
In my opinion i don't trust the government because we don't have our privacy when we on the phone or in the internet because they go through everything.

What would you change about the Government?
If i can change something about the government it would be to give us our privacy and stop taking taxes of our pay checks.
